Suazion's design experience ranges from large-scale branding programs — such as that for the World Energy Assessment, a long-term international environmental initiative co-sponsored by the United Nations and the World Energy Council — to producing brochures, websites, and other collateral materials.

Working in an integrated, multimedia environment where ideas and projects transfer seamlessly from inception to print, web, and other communications mediums, Suazion offers the following graphic design and related services:

  • Graphic design for print;
  • Identity, branding, and packaging design; and
  • Web and interactive design.

Graphic design for print is a service that facilitates information dissemination and ensures the appropriateness of look for the content's target audience. In technical terms, "graphic design" describes all of the services involved in preparing a given manuscript (e.g., book, brochure, poster) for traditional printing. Graphic design services include, as the first stage of the process, the design of a creative concept, followed by its application to all other project components. Graphic design also includes a series of technical services, such as: digital retouching, image manipulation and color corrections; the layout and typesetting stages that follow the initial creative development on text-dependent projects such as periodicals, brochures, and annual reports; preparation of artwork for production in a digital camera-ready art format; and preparation and calibration of project PDF files for online distribution.

Identity, branding and packaging design are services that create and ensure a consistent image for a company, organization, program, project, or product. In addition to a visual component, the outputs of identity, branding and packaging projects depend heavily on an analytical component, which includes market or competitive research and analysis, strategy development, documentation preparation, and program implementation services.

Web and interactive design are services provided on electronically distributed content. Web design services include website architecture and content development, page design, coding, database development, back-end programming, implementation, and maintenance. Additional web-based services offered include e-marketing and e-communications, such as the publishing of email newsletters and other niche online communications initiatives. Interactive design includes the creative concept and technical programming involved in the preparation of a self-contained digital promotion (e.g., as a Flash introduction to a website, a self-extracting slide presentation, a CD containing a set of related materials, or an annotated and bookmarked PDF file).

Not only did Suazion provide more design choices than expected, it also came up with a design that captured the sensitivities involved in the extremely complex topic of the publication.
